Sempringham: About us

Sempringham is a niche History publisher

that provides a combination of free and available-for-purchase

resources for advanced students and their teachers.

Sempringham was founded in 1987 to publish

the first A Level History journal, History Sixth.

In 1995 the new perspective journal was founded and

the following year the popular Sempringham Studies series

of topic texts was created to join other Sempringham books

such as the bestseller The Good History Students' Handbook (1993).

When the Internet was developed Sempringham established a presence

with three sites that offered resources that were free or available for purchase,

notably the Sempringham Study Centre (with eLearning-ready resources),

Sempringham Online Lectures and Sempringham MP3 Podcasts of lectures.

An annual publication, ehistory, serving the eLearning community, was founded in 2007.

Sempringham resources are noted for their well-pitched content

and their no-nonsense approach to the provision of very affordable resources.
